Conference theme: e-Families: Supporting Families in a Technological Age
Families are changing as technological advances impact interpersonal relationships. Additionally, family life
educators are utilizing technology to reach and influence families. The Illinois Council on Family Relations
seeks proposals which explore changes in family life issues and introduce methods of supporting families.
Presentations may be 30 to 60 minutes in length or in a poster format. Course proposals should include the
following:
- Name, affiliation, education level of presenter and co-presenters if applicable (undergraduate students must be accompanied by a faculty or graduate student mentor)
- Relationship of presentation to conference theme (1 paragraph)
- Research abstract (1/2 page)
- Indicate format (presentation, round table, panel, poster) and technology to be used (computer, lcd projector, tv/dvd, screen provided)
*A student-only session will be held to provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback regarding their presentation skills. Students who would like to submit to this session should indicate this preference in their proposal.
Presenters will be notified by February 14, 2012
